3 Reasons Why You Should Consider Buying Your Traffic
(My Original Blog Post: 3 Reasons Why You Should Consider Buying Your Traffic)
There are numerous success stories you will hear about businesses making it good on the internet . The troubling thing is, there are maybe a 10 times or even a 100 times the amount of stories inconsistent to theirs. Many have unsuccessfully launched a business venture that is internet based but only a handful shall succeed.
Is this because of luck? That is even more remote. It takes good business sense and a lot of help and team effort. Most importantly, it is the eagerness to succeed and the persistence to learn and the willingness to put in a lot of hard work and some money.
However, before shelling out your hard-earned money on advertising, here are three (3) smart reasons why you should consider paying for your traffic including common-sense methods of showing you how to prepare your website.
1. The quickest method for getting customers to your website is to pay for your traffic.
Like Neo, traffic is 'The One' . Without traffic, all your efforts would just go to waste. Every business needs customers, without them you wouldn't have anyone to sell your products to. In the Internet world traffic is the walk in customer. The more traffic you possess the more people you'd be able to sell your products to.
But similar to any business that's in every corner building or in the mall, not everyone that goes in will buy. But for those who do come in to browse your merchandise, most of them will buy your products. It is a clear and known fact.
But, how do you get traffic, traffic great enough that could make a small portion of resulting buyers enough to make a fair profit. Many big companies generate traffic of tens of thousands a day and a measly ten to fifteen percent actually buys, but that small percentage is enough to supply them with adequate business.
Many of these success stories get their traffic from paying others. Yes that's right; you have to spend money to make money. Advertising is the key. The more people who know that your site exists the more people would of course go to your site, that's common sense.
While there are numerous ways to get free advertising for your business, free advertising doesn't generate the same high volume of traffic as paid traffic does. Paid advertisements include such advertising schemes as those offered by Google and Yahoo.
2. In order to take full advantage of the search engines, make sure that your site is properly optimized to rank high before paying for your traffic.
Search engines are the fastest and easiest way for finding what you need on the internet . Search engines are extremely popular because they provide an indispensable service to many people. They are free and easy to use. Because of their popularity, search engines receive many visitors as well as click throughs . With these benefits in mind, it is easy to see why so many companies would pay to advertise with search engines.
Search engines provide information to the millions of users they receive each day. They provide relevant links to many sites that a user may be looking for. If your site's link pops up as one of the top ranked sites on the search results page, you stand a great chance that the user will click your link and go to your site. While search engine optimization is a cheaper and low cost way to get your site a high rank, paying for advertisements will ensure that you will be on the top ranks.
When you pay for your advertisements, it is like paying for guaranteed traffic to your site. This may not seem like a good idea at first, but the benefits of doing so far outweigh the cost in the long run. When you pay for your traffic, you are guaranteed a consistent flow of traffic to your site. You will at no time go without making a sale on any given day.
3. Find and use tools that will aid you in researching relevant keywords for your chosen niche so that you don't waste money on advertising.
Normally, you will be charged with the number of hits a link gets when your ad is clicked, this is known as pay per click. For some search engines, you will be charged with the number of times your ad shows up when a certain keyword or keyword phrase is searched. It is imperative that you have good keyword content in your ad. There are many tools on the Internet which can aid you in using the right keywords at the right moment in time.
All the money you spend in paying for your traffic will not be for nothing. You will get an impressive boost in traffic which will also result in a great boost in your sales figures.

Wordpress Blog SEO Checklist
(My Original Blog Post: Wordpress Blog SEO Checklist)
WordPress and search engine optimization (SEO) are almost synonymous these days. WordPress software on your own server with a proper setup, theme, few specific plugins, and some off site collaboration, have become hands down the most powerful SEO tool one can use to push their site higher in the search engine results pages (serps). I
n this blog, I will show you the proper steps involved in setting up your own hosted WordPress software from wordpress.org so that you can rank really high in the search results with little effort.
First things first. I have to make it clear that I am going to discuss how to set up wordpress software properly while hosted on your own server with a fresh copy of WordPress 2.7.1 from wordpress.org. I will not be discussing anything that has to do with wordpress.com social network blogging. Same software, different solutions.
I am going to assume that you already know how to install the software too. So I won't be discussing how to install it either. However, if you are looking for hosting with wordpress for free, and one click installs, then see our hosting plans. All of our hosting plans include simple one click Installs and Upgrades.
So let's get started on that checklist.
Go to "Settings >> General" and name your website under "Blog Title", then put in a blurb about your site under "Tagline". Keep it short and simple. Save and move on.
Go to "Settings >> Privacy" and make sure that the radio button that says "I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers is checked. This is the number one most common mistake people make when setting up WordPress. They forget to check this and if "I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors is checked, then you are telling all the search engines to stay away. And believe me, they will.
Go to "Settings >> Permalinks" and select "Custom Structure" the enter this in the box
You will have to either be able to copy the .htaccess code provided that will look like this
If your .htaccess file has the right permissions set, the wordpress will create it for you. Never give full 777 permissions to your htaccess file. This is asking for trouble with hackers. 666 usually does the trick, and when complete, change the permissions back to 644. Save your changes and go to the next step.
Go to "Settings >> Writing" and put all the following ping addresses in your "Update Services" pinglist box.
This pinging function automatically notifies all on your list upon a new article post. Once pinged, the bots--like Google-- come to your website looking for the new page to crawl and index it. Within 10 minutes, your new page should be searchable in Google and all around the web, once you have been writing regularly and gained trust. What did I just say? I said this service is not going to be fantastic right from the start as the places you ping may sniff you out for a few weeks and several articles before you can gain their trust to put you in their serps faster than you can order a number 1 at McDonalds. Once I post this very article about this WordPress SEO checklist, it will no doubt be in the Google search results in 10 minutes and people will find it right away. It won't be number one, but it will be there and as time goes by, it will slowly climb up with other efforts to get it there.
Don't forget to save your changes before you move on.
Now on to the plugins. Download and install the plugin "All in one SEO Pack". After successful install, now go to "Settings >> All In One SEO" and set your "Home Titel", Home Description", and "Home Keywords". The title should be 70 characters or less. The Description should be no more than 150 characters in length and don't use more than 10 keywords in the keywords box. The rest of the defaults should be fine unless you know what you are doing. Press the 'Update Options" button and go to the nest step.
Now download the Worpress Plugin, "Google XML Sitemaps" and install. Don't be fooled by the name. It's actually a sitemap for most compatible search engines that conform to the xml sitemap technology. After installation, go to "Settings >> XML Sitemap" and leave most of the settings as-is. However, you will need an api code from yahoo to notify yahoo. They are free and take a little time to setup at Yahoo Site Explorer Once there, make sure that you add your sitemap to their list within Site Explorer. Your sitemap will be at youraddress.com/sitemap.xml
Another important third party communication that you will want to setup is at Google Webmaster Tools. You don't need an API with Google, but you do need to add your site to your account with them and also add your sitemap.xml file with them.
After setting up Yahoo Site Explorer and Google Webmaster Tools, in the same "Settings >> XML Sitemap" area of your site, make sure you check the box to "Notify YAHOO about updates of your Blog" and insert your api code along with all the other search engines being checked. Make sure that the box "Modify or create robots.txt file in blog root which contains the sitemap location." is also checked and scroll down to "Sitemap Content" and check the following at a minimum:
Now would be a good time to mention finding a good theme. I won't suggest one over the other because there are so many good ones, but I will suggest one of these fine themes for your business if you can't find a free one to fit your needs. Find A Theme Once you find a theme you like, make sure that you have the following widgets installed under "Appearance >> Widgets". Turn on "Recent Posts" set to 5 and save. Then turn on "Tag Cloud" if you do not have a theme with tags under the individual articles that you write. I highly recommend that you find a theme with tags (not tag cloud) under each post on the article page itself. Not only that, but when you actually write new articles, make sure you utilize the tags feature by entering in keywords relevant to your post and separated by a comma or hit enter after each tag. Don't use more than 10 tags per post.
The next step might depend on how your theme is setup, but it is also good to have an actual sitemap page that not only search engines can fine, but one that humans can read too. WordPress makes this easy. simply go to "Pages >> Add New" and creat a page called "Sitemap" Leave the text box empty and go to "Attributes" on the right side under the "Publish" button. Under "Templates" select "Sitemap" and then "Publish" your page. If you don't have a Sitemap option, then "Archives" may suffice.
My most interesting SEO technique that I use with WordPress is a neat little weapon, I mean plugin called PingPressFm. What is PingPressFM you ask? It is a wordpress plugin that utilizes the ping.fm service. Ping.fm is a service that manages over 30 different social networks all from one control panel. It gives you the power to update your status with Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc, all from one neat little place. The really cool thing about this service is that ping.fm lets you choose that place. You don't need wordpress to use http://Ping.fm. However, you will find that together they make a powerful combination. And since you are already logging into your Wordpress Blog powered site, then you won't even need to log into your ping.fm account that broadcasts your new posts all over the internet for you. Simply install the PingPressFM plugin into your WorPress site and follow the instructions. Enjoy all your free time. This plugin allows you more time to actually write new stuff. Which is way better that logging into 30 different accounts to write that same stuff over every time.
Finally, start blogging. Blog about whatever it is you would like to blog about, but try to stay on topic with what your site was intended for in the first place. Jumping from topic-to-topic is going to hurt you in the long run because Google will not know what you are thinking and neither will your visitors.
Write unique articles no more than 5 times per day and no less than 3 times per week. Remember setting the "Recent Posts" widget to 5 posts? Well this is why. If you bump your 5th post off the list, the it will not have enough time to sit around for the search engines to hit it and give you relevance in the serps. The words used in your link act as the keywords people will type into a search engine. Search engines place a lot of weight on these and calculate the time they first find the link to the time that it disappears. So let it site there for no less than 24 hours and no more than every 3 days or so.
I hope you find these tips useful like I do. Many of them I have self discovered, tested and found that they work really well. After you have all this set up the way I described, and then actually blog new articles on a regular basis for about three to four weeks, then you will find your new articles will show up in the search results only moments after you publish your new posts. This will allow for people to find your website faster and more frequent, thus hopefully converting visiters into customers.

Why is Search Engine Optimization Important For My Business?
(My Original Blog Post: Why is Search Engine Optimization Important For My Business?)
The World Wide Web has provided astonishing ways to revolutionize how we live our everyday lives. It has crawled into the different dimensions of human our lives like with, business, communication, information dissemination, and even personal relationships. People have made a paradigm shift towards using the Internet to aid them in their daily routines.
With this ideal in mind, many people are continuously struggling to get noticed in the world of the Internet. Websites are spreading like a wild fire everywhere, all the time. How can someone’s website get past the millions of other websites and eventually be noticed by its target audience?
Search engine optimization aims to achieve the goal of getting more visitors to a website by helping it get much higher rankings in the search engines. This simply means that search engine optimization’s goal is to make a web site appear within the first 10 results of the first page, and go from being at the end of the results to right in front of your potential customer's eyes.
There are two main ways to be able to get noticed by search engines these days. One is through pay-per-click-advertisements, commonly referred to as search engine marketing. A good example of a pay-per-click system that is employed by search engines is the Google Adwords system. It has created a revolution on the web and has given Google around 5 billion dollars in recurring revenue per year. Webmasters can place their bids to be shown when a keyword is searched by a web surfer. The highest bidders with the most relevence will get their web sites to appear first when the search in the search results in the dedicated sponsored section and on various websites all over the web.
The second way of getting high rankings from search engines is through organic, or free search results area. Search engines evaluate websites by using what they call “spiders.” or'"crawlers." These bot programs scan the websites to collect information about them. They then collate the information in an index much like a library does and pass it on to the search engine during a specific keyword search. This is commonly referred to as search engine optimization. It utilizes a set of methods and calculations to be able to get search engines to list the website on high ranks.
The main purpose of search engine optimization is to increase the traffic generated by a website. Websites are built to be seen by Internet surfers and search engines can help it achieve this main goal.
The power of a search engine should not be underestimated. It is one of the building blocks of the foundation of the Internet. A survey showed that 90% of all Internet users employ search engines to aid them in their Internet-related activities. Google, the dominant player in the search engine industry, generates 70% of all search-related Internet activity. In fact, google will have more search requests in one day, than people voted for our last President here in the US.
Search engines behave a lot like people do. They like websites which contain substantive information about a certain topic. The best sites usually appear first in search engines because people like them as well as the search engines. According to Google's patent on how their technology works, Google wil rank websites sometimes based on user behaviour. Meaning that Google does in fact monitor where people go on the Internet if the person calls on their technology for the information. This information is stored on their side and calculated against all other competing websites when someone simply searches for something from google.com.
Search engine optimization does not only generate traffic, it helps maintain the quality traffic. The behavior of the search engine is indicative to the behavior of the people who visit the website as already mentioned. Search engine optimization leads to the optimization of a web page or a website. It will lead to a website which is more organized and a website which contains reletive information based on the search performed. There are on-site and off-site factors involved when a website is considered for a certain web search. Many of the off-site factors include how many quality links are on other websites linking back to yours. A good SEO company can help you get links to your website that are from good sources and relevant to your website. Search engines utilize a filtering technology to determine if the backlink is worth considering or not. A backlink is much like a vote for a President. spam filtering can tell wheter or not the vote has hanging chads on the punch card or if it is a clear and concise, reliable vote. lol, but true!
The use of the search engine to be able to target one’s target audience is one of the most effective Internet marketing strategies. It's not like other on-line marketing techniques (such as email marketing and affiliate marketing) which can lead to a lot of leakages in terms of targeting the right audience.
Search engines segment the market and connect the right people together. People search for topics which they are interested in and this is the main strength of search engines in connecting markets together.
An individual can do search engine optimization under the assumption that they know what they are doing. Search engine optimization is a full-time job and has a very long learning curve. Plus, one has to keep up with ever changing technologies as an Internet year only lasts about 4 weeks of real time. This is why most people would resort to out-sourcing the job to experts who are good at what they do. One should be cautious, however, in hiring a search engine optimization company or consultant. Factors such as pricing and service should carefully be assessed before signing a deal. If done properly, search engine optimization is a very cost effective way of getting more people to know about a businesse's product or service or to know about a certain issue or event that a website is disseminating. The cost for SEO can range from one company to the next form anywhere to $30,000 per month all the way down to $10.00 every month. There is no set industry standard as none of this SEO is learned in colleges because the technology is patented and changes all the time, kept as a trade secret until people figure it out; and then the process starts all over again. Wash, rinse, repeat as it would be reffered to.
SEO is very important for websites since it determines the position of the website in comparison with its competitors. It does not only generate quality traffic from the targeted audience but is also a cost-effective way of optimizing the website and can ultimately lead to conversions; making your ROI woth every penny.

Web Traffic
The main purpose of search engine optimization is to increase the traffic generated by a website. Websites are built to be seen by Internet surfers and search engines can help it achieve this main goal.
The power of a search engine should not be underestimated. It is one of the building blocks of the foundation of the Internet. A survey showed that 90% of all Internet users employ search engines to aid them in their Internet-related activities. Google, the dominant player in the search engine industry, generates 70% of all search-related Internet activity. In fact, google will have more search requests in one day, than people voted for our last President here in the US.
People and Search Engines are much alike
Targeted Audience
The use of the search engine to be able to target one’s target audience is one of the most effective Internet marketing strategies. It's not like other on-line marketing techniques (such as email marketing and affiliate marketing) which can lead to a lot of leakages in terms of targeting the right audience.
Search engines segment the market and connect the right people together. People search for topics which they are interested in and this is the main strength of search engines in connecting markets together.
Cost Effectiveness

Why You Should Register At YouTube
(My Original Blog Post: Why You Should Register At YouTube)
Do you enjoy watching videos on YouTube? Even if you have never visited YouTube before, we urge you to do so, as you will likely find it fun, exciting, and very entertaining. YouTube is a video sharing website which allows internet users, just like you, to upload and share videos that they have made and socialize with each other. Perhaps, the greatest thing about YouTube is that it is free. Plus currently, it ranks as the number 2 most popular website out of the 20 million that Alexa keeps track of-behind only Google themselves. Oh, did we also mention that YouTube is owned by Google, which may have something to do with their success?
While at YouTube watching some of the greatest video clips on earth, and some of the most retarded, you will find that you can browse around for free. However, there are a few benefits to having an account at YouTube--besides it being free--such as the following.
Besides being an easy process to do, signing up for a free YouTube membership account can be done in just a few minutes. You'll only be asked the simple questions like, name, age, gender, how much you weigh--just kidding about that last one, lol--, and your location along with your desired username and password. Some of this information is to feed you video suggestions and sponsored ads based on your criteria. Additionally, if you end up uploading your own videos for free after you sign up, YouTube will show you detailed statistics for what type of people watched your video. Neat huh?
Right after signing up for the free YouTube account for yourself, you can immediately begin to enjoy the many other benefits of having a YouTube membership. One of those benefits is the ability to rate videos that you watch, as well as leave comments. As it was previously mentioned, you can watch videos on YouTube without having a YouTube account, but you cannot rate videos or leave comments for the video owner. This is ideal if a video is of interest or offensive to you. Rating YouTube videos also gives other YouTube members an idea as to which videos are high in demand, and in turn, can lead to more of your favorite videos being found on the YouTube site. That is just one of the many reasons why you should not only sign up for a free YouTube account, but also rate YouTube videos that you watch or leave comments.
Another great feature along with commenting and rating other videos on YouYube, is that you will have the ability to also share your own with others. Non-registered YouTube users are unable to upload and share any videos that they would like to. If you have never shared videos online, you may want to think about doing so, if you have the desire to be famous for a moment to the rest of the world. Many of the videos currently found on YouTube are comedy related shorts, video blogs aka vlogs, and prank videos. All you really need to have is a video recording device, such as a cell phone, webcam, or camcorder, and a movie editing software program if you with to fancy it up, which now comes standard on most computers, and you will be online showing off your skills in no time.
If you are looking for ways to promote yourself, your music, your business or orginization, then you better believe that YouTube is a marketing tool that you need in your toolbox. YouTube has perhaps more people visit the site in just a few days, than we have in America voting for our Presidents. Crazy, but true! So why not get your message out in front of this large audience? Simply point a video camera at yourself, press record, and don't forget to take the lens cap off to begin capturing your commercial in a video. A little tip though, don't be uptight and boring. YouTube members are there to be entertained, so be entertaining and have a little fun.
Perhaps the most rewarding benefit to owning a YouTube account, is the money you could be making. What? Did I just say you can make money at this free service? Yep, I certainly did. You have to have a few other ingredients to make this work though. First you should own or have access to a website that you have rights to so that you can put videos on the site. And secondly, you need an AdSense account. I won't explain what an AdSense account is in this article, but click on the link in the previous sentence to learn more. You can monetize your website by not only have basic AdSense ads on your site, but with YouTube and AdSense, you can also provide fancy video ads of your own or ones that other people have dedicated to the ads. You can access the YouTube ads through your AdSense account.
So there you have it. Creating a membership account with YouTube is free and it should only take a few minutes of your valuable time. If you enjoy using the Internet as a source of entertainment or marketing, you will not only want to visit YouTube, but you will also want to take the few minutes needed to register for a free account. In the end, you will likely be pleased with your decision to do so as millions of other people have been.

How To Get Started With Blog Marketing
(My Original Blog Post: How To Get Started With Blog Marketing)
Blog marketing is fairly easy to get up and running. If you already have been blogging, then you will more than likely pick it up really easily and naturally just as if you have been doing it from the beginning. Plus, if you already blog, you might find out that you have been already marketing without knowing it anyways.
For the one that has never blogged before, you will want to start a test blog just to get the feel of how it is. See Blogging for Money if you do not know where to start. You will need to become familiar with the blogging platforms that you will be using and know how to make a simple post. While many blogs are free, you may realize that many of them are quite different and one may not work the same way for you as it will for another person. Knowing the kind that you are using is essential. Otherwise, you just may get very confused along the way. So simply starting a blog and just blogging for a little while will help you out with this beginner step. You can write about anything you desire, you just need a blog to do so. Maybe journal articles for a few weeks, or talk about your favorite music, etc. There is virtually no limit.
So once you have become familiar with the blogging process and what it takes to post and make simple changes, you are ready to go to the next step. The next thing that you are going to want to do is choose a niche market. Not a nice market silly, a niche market. A niche market is something that is unique or less hammered by others in the world of marketing. An example might be like, "green strawberries". Thus, you will want to choose something that is low in competition, but yet is something that people are searching for. If you happen to have a hobby or something that you love to do, then there is your niche. Write about it. Otherwise, you may have problems coming up with topics because the possibilities are endless and you could easily lose interest in a topic you think will make money, but you have no real interest in yourself.
Now that you have your topic chosen, it is time to start blogging. When you are blogging for the purpose of Internet marketing, you may want to give your readers something that they have to keep coming back for. If you have a high churn rate of visitors, then it will be like starting over every single day hoping new visitors come. You want to spike their interest and make them want more of your expert information or media. This will keep your "subscriber base" up and will allow you to have readers that will follow you anywhere to see what you will write about your common interests next.
Now that you have a good topic to write about, you will want to figure out just how much time you are going to spend with updating and posting in this blog. If you tell your readers that you are going to post on a daily schedule, then you better do so because they are depending on you. If you let them know that you will be blogging on a weekly time frame, then you should also stick with that too. Whatever you tell them, be sure that you do not disappoint them. Otherwise they will find another blog to read in the place of yours. It's just too easy to find other information online. So be the most interesting and reliable source.
Learning SEO and applying it to your blogs is something else that you will want to either do yourself or have a professional do for you. This will help you in search engine rankings and will allow you to go further up the search results page, making your articles easier to find over the competition. Besides, that is the point to all of this, right? If you do not have time to learn SEO--also known as search engine optimization--, the consider hiring someone to apply it to your blog for the best results. You will find that some SEO gurus are quite affordable as our plans are here at Area Web Solutions. The great thing about blogs and SEO is that they work really well together and make things happen quicker than simply owning a static based website. We actually spend about 40 hours to setup a new client's website that covers 140 checkpoints that is important in SEO. Yes, you could learn much about SEO on your own if you have a good couple of years to sort through all the outdated and flase information out there and determine what actually works without getting you in trouble with the Search Engines, or you can have an expert do it for you such as us. Contact us for more info.

Google AdSense - An Easy Money To Make Online?
(My Original Blog Post: Google AdSense - An Easy Money To Make Online?)
For a some time now, Google AdSense has dominated forums, discussions, newsletters and more, all over the World Wide Web. Already, there are tales of fabulous riches to be made and several thousand made from those who are just working from home. It seems that Google AdSense has already taken over the Internet marketing business and is now considered the easiest and fastest way to make money online.
The key to success with AdSense, however, is the placement of ads on pages that are receiving high traffic for high demand keywords. The higher the cost-per-click to the advertiser, then the more you will receive per click from your website. Obviously though, it does not pay to target low cost-per-click keywords and places them on web pages that do not receive hits.
With all the people getting online and clicking away every single day, it is no mystery why Google AdSense has quickly become an instant online hit.
For some who are just hearing about this market, it would be a blow to their pride knowing that their homepage is buried somewhere in the little ads promoting other people’s services. But then, when they come to realize that they may actually earn more money that way, then all doubts and skepticism seem to disappear.
There are two major, and smart factors that some individual successful webmasters and publishers are learning to blend together in order to make money easier using AdSense.
Factor 1. Target high traffic pages on your website with the ads. If you check on your logs, you may discover that several of your visitors are taking advantage of the free affiliate marketing resources and other materials that you are offering, or could be offering on your website. In other words, your ads will work more effectively and generate more clicks this way. It also means more money in your pocket.
Factor 2. Placing AdSense ads on pages that are producing little, or better yet, zero profit. By placing AdSense ads on a free resource page, you will potentially reduce the amount of potential customers being lost to other websites. Tricky, but yet effective.
When learned to work effectively thus far with AdSense ads, these two factors are both a good source of producing a minimal amount of revenue from a high traffic page. Several people that use this strategy to pick up some extra and cash with AdSense, find that the ads in the way, are worth having there if the website does not generate income any other way. This is also especially rewarding to informational websites that focus their efforts on delivering powerful affiliate link and free content to their web visitors. Now they can gain some type monetary return on their services.
With the many techniques that people are often learning on how to make the easiest money online through their AdSense, it is not surprising that Google is trying everything possible to update and perfect their AdSense in order to maintain a good image.
The possibility of adding is second tier in the AdSense program is not impossible. With all the people spending more time in their AdSense now and still more getting into this line of online marketing, there is absolutely no doubt about the many new improvements yet to be made, and that have been made like the newer Youtube ands and RSS feed ads. Imagine the smiles on the faces of the website owners and publishers all around the globe if ever they sign up for sub-affiliates and double or possibly triple the amount that they are already earning with AdSense.
The one particular handy money making feature that is also available with AdSense now is the ability to filter out up to 200 competitive or low CTR website ads. These gives website owners the option to block low value offers from their web pages as well as competitors to their sites. This is great because you may not want certain ads to appear on your site and this gives you the option to eliminate the one ads without losing all of them.
With Google AdSense, the possibilities are truly endless. Yet there is also the possibility of someone taking advantage of the easy money making process that this internet online marketing method is offering. If you ponder it a little, some negative factors may force Google to break down and re-create AdSense in the process. If this happens, people would have to go back to the old ways of internet marketing that does not make money online as easy as AdSense offers.
For now though, Google AdSense is here to stay as they are a very strong entity in and of themselves. As long as there are individuals wanting to earn some easy money online just using their web skills, then the future ahead is always going to look good. Besides with all the strict guidelines that Google is enforces over AdSense, it will take sometime for the AdSense privileges to be spammed and even completely removed.

How Do Search Engines Work?
(My Original Blog Post: How Do Search Engines Work?)
It is the search engines that finally bring your website to the notice of the prospective customers in most cases. Therefore it is better to know how search engines actually work and how they present information to the potential customer initiating a search.
There are basically two types of search engines. The first is by robots called crawlers or spiders.
Search Engines use spiders to index websites on the web. When you submit your website pages to a search engine by completing their submission page, or in most cases the search engine finds your link on another site, the search engine spider will then index your site by following the links from one page to another. A ‘spider’ is an automated program that is run by the search engine system and follows rules that the computers have been instructed for the spider. Spider visits a website, reads the content on the actual site, the site's Meta tags and also follows the internal and external links that are placed on the site. The spider then returns all that information back to a central depository, where the data is indexed--kind of like a public library indexes information. It will visit each link you have on your website and index those sites/pages as well, unless specifically insrtucted not to by the 'nofollow' attribute. Some spiders will only index a certain number of pages on your site, so don’t create a site with 500 pages just for indexing!
Instead create pages for humans and then spiders will find the information too, if the pages have quality content in them.
The spider will periodically return to the sites to check for any information that has changed. The frequency with which this happens is determined by the rules of the search engine.
A spider is almost like a book where it contains the table of contents, the actual content and the links and references for all the websites it finds during its search, and it may index up to a million pages a day or more.
Example: Google, Yahoo, Live, Alexa, etc.
When you ask a search engine to find information, it is actually searching through the index which it has created and not actually searching the Internet. Different search engines produce different rankings because not every search engine uses the same algorithm--or rules--to search through the indexes.
One of the things that a search engine algorithm scans for is the frequency and location of keywords on a web page, but it can also easily detect artificial keyword stuffing or spam-indexing. This type of practice from website owners is called black-hat SEO. Then the algorithms analyzes the way that pages link to other pages in the Web. By checking how pages link to each other, an engine can both determine what a page is about, if the keywords of the linked pages are similar to the keywords on the original page, the the search engine can better determine if the web page is of honest quality or web spam.

5 Must Have's to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing
(My Original Blog Post: 5 Must Have's to Succeed in Affiliate Marketing)
There is what's commonly known of as the 20/80 rule in the business world. It's where 20 percent of the population are leaders and the other 80 percent are followers. Yes, many of the folks in the 80 percent group dream of being a leader while only a few will ever succeed at it. The same is true with affiliate marketing. It takes a special person to really succeed well in this industry of elite people.
So it comes as no surprise that more and more people are flocking to where other's are successful online – affiliate marketing. It is because in this business, there are no bosses to order the workers around. There are no deadlines to meet and no over-burden of work for you do to. One only needs to be equipped with the tools needed to succeed in a business like this, and he/she is bound to get what their heart ultimately desires.
Just what is needed to be able to succeed in affiliate marketing? What must one have within themselves to be able to do well in this industry? There is a lot of competition involved in affiliate marketing, and to be able to rise above the norm, one must very well be equipped with just the right stuff necessary to propel themselves forward. There are five major attributes one must ultimately possess if he/she wants to achieve the glory they is yearning for in this business, and these five things are a must for one to possess to be able to stand out among the rest.
The very first quality one must possess if he wants to try his hand in affiliate marketing is the willingness to learn and be trained. Treading through unfamiliar territory is scary stuff if one is not properly equipped, and he might get lost amidst a jungle of the unknown. Learning the tricks of the trade is also a very important aspect of the game, and one’s willingness to know it all will give him far better advantages in the business than he could ever imagine.
The second quality one must possess is the willingness to invest time and effort even if direct results do not seem at all apparent. Although several months may pass without good news, it is important for one who has his foot in the industry to hold on and wait. It is this quality which would save him from giving up after investing a lot of himself in the business.
The third quality one must possess is self-determination. If one wants to conquer the affiliate marketing world, he must have the ability to push himself ahead. Never having to say die is a quality each and every affiliate marketer should possess, and the ability to motivate oneself into scaling greater heights is an ability which would actually take an affiliate marketer there.
The fourth quality one must possess is discipline. If one knows how to teach himself to work everyday with all the energy he can muster, then he is close to achieving what he has set his heart to having in the first place.
The fifth and last quality one must possess is optimism. Negative attitudes and hearsays should not discourage an affiliate marketer from pursuing what he has to in order to make life better for himself and for everyone concerned. Neither should anyone influence his attitude toward the business, because once in it, it is a must for him to be the captain of his ship and the master of his soul.
The ingredients to success in a business such as affiliate marketing are diverse and manifold, but the most important thing one needs to be able to make it big lies in himself alone. It is he who has the capacity to do everything to be able to realize his prospects, and the desire which fuels his heart in doing so is the gasoline which should keep the engine going.
Affiliate marketing is all about putting one’s fate into his own hands. The right attitude is the key to being able to steer one’s ship into that part of the ocean where a certain kind of serenity can be found, one that permeates the atmosphere as the ship sails calmly on.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?
(My Original Blog Post: What Is Affiliate Marketing?)
Affiliate marketing has a lot of descriptions, yet all have the same common meaning. Affiliate marketing is a very large business piece on the world wide web. It is a unified effort between merchants and an affiliate’s website. For several years now, affiliate marketing has proven to be a cost-efficient, measurable method of delivering long-tern results through "pay for performance" (PFP). It has become famous for Internet websites who's owners are trying to make some extra or additional income for their site. Every day, people get interested in affiliate marketing and want to make money from it. But in many cases, these new affiliates do not fully understand the affiliate world and make costly mistakes. In other words, affiliate marketing has often been misunderstood because of the many variables involved.
One of the common misconceptions that are being associated about affiliate marketing is “selling”; though selling is an important aspect of affiliate marketing and the central function of an online business operation. Another is that affiliate marketing is often tied in with “advertising”. While the importance of advertising in marketing a certain product is not to be underestimated, the fact of the matter is, advertising like selling, is merely a part of the many functions of a successful marketing campaign.
With affiliate marketing, the affiliate is compensated for every visitor, subscriber and/or customer provided through his efforts. The said compensation may be made based on a certain value for each visit determined by the advertiser (not the publisher). The most attractive aspect of affiliate marketing from the merchant’s viewpoint is that no payment is due to an affiliate until results are appreciated. Also known as "pay for performance, or PFP.
Affiliate marketing is commonly being run by affiliate networks and this affiliate networks, like Commission Junction and AdBrite, are composed of two functional bodies, the group affiliates and the group merchants--sometimes referred to as Publishers--. Each has their specific obligation and role when it comes to affiliate marketing. The affiliate network acts as a third party between the advertisers and the publishers. The network provides the technology to deliver the merchant’s campaigns and offers with tracking capabilities. The affiliate network also collects commission fees from the advertisers and then pays the affiliate publishers which are part of the program and published the advertiser's ads on their web sites.
The merchant publisher is any web site or social network page owner that wants or desires to take advantage of pay for performance based marketing. The benefits to the publisher are several; First off, the publisher maintains and operates the affiliate ads on their site. If it would be necessary, the publisher needs to do their part by researching interested affiliate websites to ensure that they are a good fit for that particular website. Finding a fit for the advertiser's merchandise would be the key to higher generated sales from their site. The publisher has access to many advertising programs without him spending valuable time searching the entire web. Banner ads on the publisher's websites, should not distracting or misleading to the site user. Instead, it should produce interest for that product and drive the website visiter to the advertisers’ website. It is up to the advertiser to decide how much he is willing to pay for each sale that results from a visitor sent to their site from the publishers. Often times, advertisers will require an action or conversion before they are willing to pay the publisher for sending the visitor. This is usually where the new visitor fills out a form of some sort as a lead or makes a purchase from the advertiser's site.
The advertiser also sees some benefits. The advertiser is a web site owner that promotes one or more of their products or services with an affiliate network so that publishers will find the programs or ads. Advertising through publishers, can generate a steady flow of leads and new sales for the advertiser through the publisher. But this is not an easy task to accomplish. The advertiser needs to produce effective ads that will catch attention to targeted visitors and the payout for performance has to be fair to the publisher if the advertiser wants their ads to be picked from many other publishers. The advertiser also has to have a user-friendly website that makes it easy for visitors to convert to customers without hassle and confusion. For example, once the ad is clicked on from a publisher's site, the new visitor should quickly identify what they were led there for in the first place and be able to make a quick purchase in 3 clicks or less. Sales also make a huge impact on whether or not a visitor converts to a customer.
Affiliate marketing is a great situation for both the publisher and the advertiser. If they would work together, they can be an advantage to both. Plus the fact that it seems to make sense, it is easy and inexpensive way to start out, plus you can be up and running within no time. However, there is one thing to consider first, that is how to get traffic and make your offer different than all rest as an advertiser. And to get traffic for the advertiser and be different than all the rest as a publisher.
