Difference Between Google Organic vs Paid Search Results

(My Original Blog Post: http://blog.areawebsolutions.com/difference-between-google-organic-vs-paid-search-results.html)
What is the difference between the organic--or free--results and the sponsored--or paid-- results from a Google search? Sponsored results usually appear before and to the right of the free results. They are clearly identified as"Sponsored Results" and are there from Advertisers using Google's Adwords program. Advertisers will compete with each other by many variables that determine the placement of the ads, but a common factor is based on price. How much an Advertiser is willing to pay for 1 click will sometimes effect the position of the ad. A bidder can pay anywhere from .05 cents up to $100.00 per click, and have control over setting a maximum amount that they are willing to pay for a click with a daily budget setting as well.

Free results lie under and/or to the left of the sponsored results and are what SEO--search engine optimizing--revolves around. "Search engine optimization is often about making small modifications to parts of your website. When
viewed individually, these changes might seem like incremental improvements, but when combined
with other optimizations, they could have a noticeable impact on your site's user experience and
performance in organic search results."
